Tought about getting my first green laser soon, and whats the best laser i can get for under 40$ included international shipping (Norway)?
I looked at the 27$ Kaidomain 50mw-really 30mw laser, its that the best i can get for the price? I Really hope getting something that can light matches, but if not, ill just buy the 27$ Kaidomain laser.

Do you guys know if i can get a new 50mW for that price?
Or do anyone of you guys wanna sell me one used?

I have one of those 50mW CR2 lasers from kaidomain and it was pretty good, until it died ;). On a 3.7V li-ion it could sting my skin without any black marker or focusing lens, and I could get smoke from a red match (but it wouldn't light one). I think it died because I used the higher voltage battery. It wasn't nearly as bright with a primary CR2 though.

I also have one of these: http://www.kaidomain.com/WEBUI/ProductDetail.aspx?TranID=3349 and so far it has been excellent. Really rugged and almost as bright as the 50mW CR2 with both running on 3.7V. rechargeables. I have carried it in my jacket pocket for a few weeks now and have even dropped it a few times, and though I wouldn't go diving with it, it shouldn't have any problems with rain or snow. Don't expect it to light any matches without using optics though.

It's 10 bucks over your budget but this looks very good: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.9311
Looks like it has the same solid construction as the 20mW from kaidomain with more power.

Edit: Timelord posted a great review on LPF of the 20mW CR123 laser (from dealextreme, but it looks like the same laser), here: http://www.laserpointerforums.com/forums/YaBB.pl?num=1195483141
Looks like it's more waterproof than I thought, he put it in a tub :D It also looks like he was very lucky and got one with over 50mW of green output!

Last I checked there was a Dealextreme 30mW that was a bit cheaper then the 20mW. Keep in mind that there is a fair amount of IR present in the beam of these lasers, if that's not a big deal then the price is pretty good. The laser sold at kaidomain seems to be similar to those sold on dealextreme. It's likely that there is IR present in the beam as well.

What you see an advertisement that says true output = XXmW, it's not actually telling you much as the total output with IR is still the true output. A true 532nm output rating would be more informative.

Still regardless it's a good deal for the price and those flashlight-like housings look quite nice!

Will the DX 90mW flashlight-laser pop any-color ballons, cut tape and light matches? And is it really 90mW? I mean really 90-green-mW?
Meh, i hate some norwegian laws, everything that costs over ca. 40usd from not-in-norway (english isn't my mother language :)) countries, we have to pay 25% extra :(
