I'm looking for a green laser module and power supply that will not fail if left on for long periods of time (several hours). Not a pen pointer or another hand-held.

I've seen some models from ThinkLasers (I dream about SpectraPhysics lasers, which would require a second mortgage), but I still don't know if I trust reports of runtimes of 5000+ hrs.

I'd love some actual user recommendations.

Thanks!

I got a Optronics RPL 260 for 345 dollars which is putting out 260 MW. Its an amazing laser, beam is tight. Construction is very very solid. I would highly recommend this laser. Does say you shouldnt leave it on for more than a minute though so maybe this wouldnt fit your criteria.

Can you tell me where you got your Optronics RPL 260 from? I can't find much on the Optronics web site.

Oops I see its optotronics, not optronics, I found it. Nice lasers!

Looks good. I had seen them before, a long time ago. Thanks for the link.

Rubycon - So hard to get prices out of them! Lasers look good though, thanks.
