sorry guys i don't know where to begin. i want to find a great motorcycle head light. i think some for on the road use were banned in the USA. they were too bright. i am looking for the bulb that can fit a normal head light socket. i don't know the name of it.

any help would be great!

What is the motorcycle in question? All motorcycles use normal headlight sockets, but there are different styles for different bulbs. There are also different technologies available (Incan, hid, led), but you will have to change the whole headlight to go to a different technology than what is currently factory installed.

You have not given enough info for us to help you.

There are many bulbs that fit the socket for which they are made. We won't know what bulb you need until you tell us what headlamp you have, or what make, model, and year of motorcycle you have.

It might be called "bulb" or "replaceable light source".

I can also say that there are two certain kinds of "bulb" that will outright not be legal: "HID kits" and "LED bulbs". This is true in both in North America, and in UNECE signatory countries (pretty much all of the 'civilized world').

to be honest its just an old style light. its made in china so well that means not much. i have to open it up and see what kinda bulb it has. but my question is what is the brightest one i can get. i am not in the usa and there is no laws regarding headlights. so i want the brightest i can afford

In all developed countries, they have laws regarding lighting.
Are you a politician? You are very good at not answering questions :)
