Does anyone have any experience with these things?? I'm talking about the small pocket size ( edc?? ) ones that you can get from most electronic's shops. Unfortunately i'm one of those bods that mozzies love, and if these things work, it'd have to be better than smothering yourself in stinking concoctions that do nothing.
Unfortunately, night time and mozzies are best mate's in Australia. Some are so big that they would make a Cessna 172 look small !! :caution::caution:

In my experience, only chemical and propane-powered solutions have worked.
In the forces we'd shower in deet just to keep in relative comfort.

(They do, however, annoy the heck out of the dog)

I suggest a flamethrower...

I bought one on impulse from Jaycar a couple of years ago after most of Victoria had been flooded.

Total waste of time and money - just more utter Chinese rubbish!

However, I did discover "Bushmans Blend" works really well. The Barmah mozzies just lapped up my repellants but when I borrowed some of this stuff from Dad it was like magic! The smell is actually not too bad but some particularly sensitive skin types might find it burns a little on freshly shaven skin.

(Get the tubes at Chemist Warehouse for about $9 rather than the ripoff aerosol that cost Dad $18 though.)

Tks all. I might try some of that Bushmans Blend as we've got a Chemist Warehouse in Shepp, otherwise a 9 kg gas bottle and flamethrower might do the job!!
