Hi all, I just got a 6PL and a Malkoff M60L and I really like the them, but I think it would be more flexible if I can transform the single stage flashlight to a multimode one.
So, is there a RELIABLE way to make a 6PL w/ the M60L a multimode flashlight? I prefer 3 stages actually: very low low, ~40-50, max.
Or with a M6O? (~30lm, ~100, max?)
I know I'm asking too much, but... thanks! :)

Get a Malkoff MD2 body for that Malkoff drop in and you can put in the switch ring and have a nice two level light.

I know, but I don't really like the MD2's body design. It hasn't an antiroll feature, no protective lens and the clickie switch is ugly... No offense to anybody, just my opinion. :)

I believe that there are multi level switches for surefire lights, but I know little about them.

There have been many threads on the McGizmo / Sandwich Shoppe McC2S tailcap mods. Although they have recently been discontinued, SureFire Z41 tailcaps modded with this parts kit occasionally do come up for sale, either separately or with lights, and this very useful mod is extremely reliable. Here is the most recent thread for more information, which also includes a link for the UNIQ Continuously Variable Tailcap. Again, using search for multimode/multilevel/multiple levels/low level & Malkoff should get you running.

I tried finding a similar solution but eventually settled on a Wolf-Eyes 2-mode drop-in. Mine is an older Q2 model and reliable in operation, high first, then a quick tap to get to the low which appears to be 15-20 lumens. It's not really what you're looking for, and you've already invested in the M60, but the more options you have floating around your head the better. At least I think so :)

Thank you guys! Tons of information everywhere! :ooo:
I guess my safest bet is on an McC2S, if I find one! My 6PL tailcap is a Z41 one, right? If anyone has a McC2S for sale, please pm me!
Also, can a long-time user of the UNIQ tailcap confirm that it is reliable for heavy duty use?
