Hi Guys,
I just purchased my first Arc light LSHF-P w/AA extension pack. I know its not a ARC4+, but i figured i should start off slow. I have only owned Surefire lights and i am looking forward to getting my hands on this light, bye the way it will also be my first LED light. Just thought i would share my new excitement with you all. thanks Pete

This is pretty nice for your first LED /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif
This is not what I would call starting off slow /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hahaha.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

Congratulations - I agree, LSHF-P is starting out in the relatively fast lane.

Pete, I'm in the exact same boat! I've only really had surefires and i'm trying to sift through my first arc purchase. I just saw the arc4 videos and what can I say ? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif I was in need of help and I didn't know it! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/help.gif a WATERPROOF Milspec EDC light with that light! Now, which to buy (at first /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif ) Can anyone tell me if there is a version that starts at a dim setting i.e. you don't have to go through the brighter ones to get to it? I'm off to read up at the faq.

BTW I was wondering how the U2 was going to have six settings, but flashlights now have menus, and I confess I am a little excited too...

cam: the software revision (123) might comes with allows you to turn on the light at the dimmest setting, without first having to cycle through the brighter settings. i.e. if you triple click to the dimmest setting and turn it off, the next time you turn it on it will come on at that setting. the newest 130 software revision should be the same as well /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hello Ibewno3,

Congratulations!

I have both the LSH-P and the LSHF-P (both with 2 AA battery packs) and I keep switching between them. My favorite (today) is the LSH-P, but I have no complaints about the LSHF-P.

Enjoy.

Tom

Hi Silver FOx, thanks for the Warm welcome. Can you tell me what is the overall length of the light with the AA pack. Just some more info. while i am waiting for its arrival.

My LSHF-P combined with the 2AA TSP comes in at 5 3/4 or 14.6 cm.
I usually end up using the LSHF-P more than the LSH-P because I just like the tight, piercing beam the fraen lens generates.
Have fun! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Welcome to CPF! I just was praising the LSHP in another thread. I love this light. It keeps the 1 CR123 TSP and the LSH-P keeps the 2 AA TSP. The Arc4+ and the LSHF compete for the EDC spot in the left front pocket every day. Enjoy your light...
