Here's my first thread, sharing with everyone my makeshift solution for a carrying case for my FM Elephant II, which obviously never came with a case. Most people seem to house these in pelican hard cases, and I do have one too, but for days where I'm just carrying a single light, I wanted something lighter and more portable.
I started with a camera lens case, and added in some foam inserts to keep everything snug. The main issues I had were finding a lens case in the right length. I tried stuff from Loewe pro, Think Tank, and finally found a suitable Tamrac. Long cases tend to be big in diameter as well, so I got some foam insert, trimmed everything and rolled them into the right thickness.
