Yesterday, my Elektro Lumens FT-3C was delivered. What an awesome light! Great throw and white beam. (I didn't really "throw" it... But, it would probably go a good distance.)
Thanks, Wayne for such a great light! (Now, what's next???...I have to keep feeding this hunger for LEDs....

I'm agree too, the FT-3C is really an impressive light, go for it! I've only this product from Wayne,but it's not the last one...
 
another recommendation for the FT-3C... it's the smallest 3 C cell flashlight I've ever seen, and bright as can be, white, shiny, with a nice beam that throws.
 
Glad to hear all the "glowing" impressions of this cool light. I placed my order recently and am patiently (sort of) waiting for delivery. The cats and racoons in the back yard are gonna hate this.

My Tigerlight doesn't even phase the racoons and skunks in my yard - not sure if the FT-3C will...I'll have to try it.

Get her a UV light. Preferably a Luxeon Star 5W. Then, tell her to look into the beam to be sure that it is working. Perfect for a mother-in-law /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin07.gif
 
After playing with this light for a while I have to say I'm very pleased. I was a little worried at first because when I first turned it on, it was flickering when I moved it like the batts weren't getting good contact or something. After a bit of carrying it around that went away and it hasn't done it any more. It's much smaller and lighter than I expected. I guess I was thinking of my C cell Maglite. It's not the nightstick that the Mag is but it would probably still put a pretty good dent in somebody's head. It did put a nice dent in the aluminum cover of my printer when it slipped out of my hand. Beam pattern on a wall is very smooth and even and very white and bright. I got a cool effect when I had the lights off in the house and was playing with the FT-3C when the central heat was running. You could see the currents and waves of the moving warm air projected on the wall where the beam was shining, kind of mirage-ey. Compared to what else is out there, I think this light is a real bargain.
 
I got mine as well, and it is about as perfect as I could have hoped for, in terms of color, and an excellent balance between throw and spill light. Mine has 2 perfect circles of spill light around it; one quite bright, and the next very dim. I can only notice the circles of spill light on a white wall; in real life, I don't notice it.

This is one bright light!! I've always liked a light with a good spot in the center for throw, and good spill light as well. By far this is the best I've ever seen! Nice size, function and form.

I'm very happy with my FT-3C. It's impressively bright and stays that way for hours, even though it's not regulated. As a bright, long burning, relatively small and light weight heavy-duty workaholic light it's really hard to beat.

Suggestions:

1) Ability to stand on end would add significantly to this light's utility. Future models should have flat tail button or slightly raised tail ridge.

2) Lanyard attachment point, perhaps a deeper groove near tail. I tried one between tailcap and body which worked beautifully until it pulled loose. A Surefire-style ring to fit there would probably work well.
