My Relative BINing stick

I had a big ole long post but lost so here are the pics....

I ended up with 3 white ones (one badly cracked contact and one with gunk I had to chio off the lens), one really yellow one , and the rest yelow tinged.

I had a big long discription of it before I some how hi-lited and pasted on top of it....


but it basicly a 2X.25X48" slat with solid strand hook up wire stapled to the slat.

I then split the wire about 1.5" every 4.6" to allow sliping the LS in between the wire.

I then striped small sections of the wire where it would touch the emmiter and let the wire hold the emmiter aginst the board.

it worked very well to "BIN" the emmiter relative to each other... I have 3 that are nice and white but other flaws (one had a cracked lead but I snaped it off the rest of the way and resoldered a lead on and one had gick stuck on the lens, I had to scrape off so I think I have 2 relatily high BIN LS's now)

Oh I also ran it on low power (using a mini mag with the wire stuck into the bulb socket pins) to not get wash out so I could see the color.. then upped current so I could see the brightness.
