Where can I get one for around $10? I have the 2AA that I got from the Radio Shack deal but I want something a little bit brighter.

Man you need to go to Walmart and get one of those little folding Energizer LED (mounted in a tube to look like fluorescent) lights. You can select one LED or both for 200/100 hrs of runtime on 4 AAs. About $10! Just what you are looking for, unless you want something big?

Has anyone here actually seen the new little Coleman mini-CCFL camping fluorescent (Wallymart maybe)?? It sells for something like $15. U.S.

FNG,

last week I purchased a 3 pack of 4-AA flourcescent lights (impulsive Flashaholic purchase

) at Home Depot. They were marked down to $10.00!!! Pretty decent little lights for the price. I'm running 4 1800MAH NIMH AA's in one of the lights and it seems pretty bright.

Of course I can't help but wonder how things would go with 4 lithiums. Would we see the imfamous magic smoke???

I have been wanting to post a quick review and a pic, but have been way too busy to do it.

I don't know how these compare to the Ratshack lights, but for the price they seem pretty decent.

vcal, I have that light. It works pretty well. I really like the CCFL technology. They get pretty darn bright after they 'warm up'. The Energizer Arc White has one in it as well. That's actually one of my best lights. The Incandescent throws a pretty tight beam, and the CCFL makes for a great area light. FYI

I bought a 4AA fluorescent at
Radio Shack the other day.
It also had a incan on one end,
about 7" long. About $7.00

I would also agree, if you can go with CCFL. I have 3 small CCFL lights and the Energizer Arc White is the brightest of the lot. It easily lights up a room and actually is brighter running 1800mA NiMH than alkaline. I am really tempted to get the Koehler sport,

but it runs on 4 D cells. I am really curious if it is brighter then the Arc white or my Coleman 13w CF 8D lantern. I like the Coleman, but it is quite large and heavy.
