Its Been a long time since I visited here regularly in 2005. I want to thank theepdinker for the amazing Thor light mod he did for me. It is one heck of a search and rescue unit!

I have Google searched Hi Low the earth for an example, pictures or guides to do what I want to do and hope there is someone here that can help.

I am putting together the batteries (in parallel) and protection circuit (PCB) shown below. The PCB connections are at the same width as the batterys tabs. The + - connections are both located on one end. The board is nice and small and will stand on edge to be no higher then the batteries do when stacked.

My questions are:

How to position the PCB? Should I solder the battery tabs together directly to the board as close as reasonably possible and stand the board up on edge and use hot-melt to hold and insulate? Then solder the leads on and shrink wrap it up?

I am thinking of running the leads down one side to the other end so the wrap will hold and support them in place.

And what kind of glue? Hot-melt OK.

I have seen a thin looking yellow film in some pics used before shrink wrapping but have no description of what the material is.

Thanks
