Hey guy's
I'm new to the building game but I was looking into building a glasses mounted light, similar to the one shown here. And was looking for a place to start.

I'm still trying to decide what emitter to use but I was leaning towards the CREE Q5 emitter

But I've been out of the game for awhile and I'm open to suggestions, R2? R5? I'm not very familiar with the newer LED's. I want something close to the white light spectrum, that is very efficient (high light output/current draw ratio).

Right now I'm thinking of powering the light from a belt battery pack using 18650 cells, ideally I'd like to incorporate some type of rheostat for controlling the light output, I'm not sure what type of driver I'd need for that.

Lastly I'm somewhat unsure of where I could find a mounting bracket, led housing, and lens similar to the one show in the first link. I'm also looking for a battery carrier which ideally would have some type of 12V charging port so I wouldn't have to remove the battery pack to charge it. I'd like the light to be as light as possible to reduce the pressure on the face/nose

If anyone has any advice on where to source parts for this, or parts that I should consider for the build. That'd be great, this is my first of hopefully many builds. Thanks in advance :)

I must admit, I keep thinking of making some sort of clip on mount for my iTP A3 EOS light to the glasses.

Small, relatively cheap, three light levels.

It's pretty small, even with the batteries. I suppose you could take the head off of it and hook it to an external battery. That would be a pretty small package.
