Amazing, while I hunt an answer to my problem on the net I find a site that just might be the answer.
I enjoy lots of hobbies one is resorting old Pachinkos, the one I have been working on has a 16 lamp "matrix" in the center, the problem is over 1/2 the bulbs were burnt out, the voltage going to the lamps is 35-36 direct volts,
I figured finding replacements would be no issue, I bought lamp 2187 ( before volt testing ) http://1000bulbs.com/product/60387/IND-2187-10PK.html from Skycraft a local store, they are way, way too bright being pushed with the extra voltage,
So my next thought was modern up, go LED but I read that after about 26 volts the resistor would get too hot so my idea to run LED's was nixed for the moment.
The original lamps in my machine that still work are the correct voltage they "look" right and do not get too hot, so they are either 36 volt or slightly higher voltage and running at my 36 volts.
But I can't find any bulbs that are even close to the 2187 style and shape size that have 36 or greater voltage, and unless someone more savvy than myself can clue me in LED's are out, would love to run LED's
So any ideas or options?
Many thanks!
Cheers,
P.
