Hey guys I was at a outdoor store the other day and looking at surefire flashlights. They had a huge one inside a metal case, its charger was a half ring and the light lay in the charger about halfway up the flashlight. It had a ring on the light about a third of the way down that turned the light on. It had two settings and the light was huge I had to hold it with two hands. Do you know which one im talking about?

Sounds like the Beast...look it up on the search engine or the SF website. Expensive, but it rocks!

I think thats it. This link with the picture of the case looks like it. http://www.victorinoxstores.com/vic...le&key_id=SurefireBeastRechargeableFlashlight

I had a small problem there I accidentally shined the light at my buddy. The guy behind the counter yelled at me and said dont do that you can blind him. Oops. knew it was brigh didnt realize how bright until he told me it was 2300 lumens. My bad, anyway me and the guy started talking and he knew about malkoff devices. pretty cool. Other than the fact I almost blinded a guy I work with.

Yep, that's the Beast. The original only came in limited numbers (1,000...I think???), then they came out with "The Beast II"

Lumens don't have anything to do with blinding.

As the light has been identified as a SF Beast, I'll move it to the Scorched Retina forum.
