Need help locating a bulb! (pics)

I do a lot of night mt bike riding with my brother and a few night's back the bulb in my light burnt out, I've looked in every store and cannot seem to find one! Does anybody know where I can get one at online? Also does anyone know if I can upgrade the bulb as I would like it to be a little brighter!

The writing on the bulb reads:

MR11C 10
6V 10W
3000K

Try using one of the search engines and entering "MR11C 6V 10W" as the search argument. If you're able to look locally, you might also want to try some larger hardware stores or maybe even Home Depot. It's probably going to cost less there than at a bicycle or outdoor sports store.

Yeah tried the search engine and nothing! Went to home depot, eagle mc lendons and a half dozen other places and nothing, was hoping someone here knew where I could find one.
 
That's odd. I entered the same thing into Google and it came up with a bunch of different web merchants on the very first page. That's why I gave you an exact search argument to use. That's a fairly common halogen lamp that's used in some track lighting as well, that's why I thought you'd find it for a lot less at a hardware store.

The more reputable sites will usually have phone numbers listed. If you're not sure of how to order using their web site, it would be in your best interest to just pick up the phone and place the order that way. Just give them the same information that you've provided here.

You could also check you're local electrical wholesale house. They sould carry those bulbs. I've installed some in track and special accent lighting.

hehe.... yep... here's some ideas..

switch to a 12V setup with a larger battery pack... that way you can play with the VERY WIDE assortment of 12V MR11s available on the market. (instead of being stuck to a few 6V 10W options)....

the only bottleneck I forsee is heat... what material is that housing for the MR11 made of?

anyhow....

right now- I assume that little 10W MR11 is probably delivering around 100-150 lumens and probably runs for about 2 hours on that battery..


maybe a battery pack like this..

combined with their "smart pack charger"

driving a lamp like this..

you can easily find some MR11s at your local hardware and lighting stores... a 12V 20W... narrow flood or spot is probably a good bet... neat thing would be to try a bunch of them and see what you like... the 12V lamps will run much brighter and whiter than stock when driven by a 14.8V battery pack. (will actually run at about 27W or something like that).... should give about the same 2 hours of runtime, but well over double the light output.
