Need help trouble shooting a zebralight sc600

My ZL sc600 is dead. Against my better judgement, I let my son use it while we were at a scout camp. He had been using it and I noticed that the battery was going to need replacing as it wouldn't stay on high. The following day, I got a spare battery and put it in the light. Nothing. Completely dead. I am pretty sure that it was already completely dead before I put the new battery in it. There is a small nick in the head of the light although I can't be sure that is new. We were in an area with no hard surfaces; the campsites were on a wooden deck so I don't think the nick was caused by a drop that evening. It is certainly possible that my son dropped it but it wasn't likely to be significant. Any ideas before I ship it back to zebralight? Thanks,

Mine died after one drop from 3 feet landing bezel down. The member I sold it to as a host said a part came loose from the driver board. :shakehead Mine also didn't sustain any "major" visible damage. Good luck because I've heard ZL doesn't warranty against drops.

We will repair or replace, at our option, without charge, any products or parts which is found to be defective under normal use and service within 12 months from the date of purchase with proof of purchase. You can also try to just let te light rest without batteries inside. Put on a new one after a few minutes/hours and it may work again. That's what happens to i think most ZL's when the last battery used was used upto fully.draining it.

I hope the above fixes it for you! I have dropped many lights over the years & only had one that busted.
