I am a total noob when it comes to LED Flashlights and am very pleased to have discovered this great site.
Here is my problem.
Before doing any worthwhile research, I made an impulse purchase on ebay of the Romisen RC-T6 Flashlight. At least i only paid about $60.
It came with a cheap recharger and two non-protected 18650 batteries allegedly rated at 3000mAh and 3.7 Volts.
These batteries would run the unit in 2 led and 4 led mode but not 6.
After a month or two of use they dropped down to only 2 led output and then finally stopped powering the torch at all.
Seemes like they were pretty crappy batteries.
I then purchased 4X Spiderfire LC 16340 1000mAh 3.7 Volt batteries as I have read that this would provide enough voltage to run all 6 leds on this torch at the cost of lower runtime. Considering my use for this torch does not require long runtimes I thought this may solve my problem.
Upon charging and installing these batteries, I now discover that the torch will work in all modes 2 4 and 6 led, but now it constantly strobes on and off at approx half second intervals on all settings! I get the same result when i remove the body extension tube and run only 3 of these same batteries
Dazed and confused.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Glenn
