New Headlamp

So essentially I lost my black diamond icon. It pretty much did everything I needed it for, but since I lost it I figure maybe its time for something different. I liked everything it offered, as far as regular beam and the 2 flood LEDs Maybe something with a little better throw, same flood capabilities and I don't need a red mode. Anyone have anything? External battery pack or not, doesn't matter. Mainly used outdoors in open/wooded areas. Especially during snow storms. Thanks!

The Petzl NAO is a flashaholic dream. 355 lumens and automatically adjusts the mix of flood and throw depending on what is needed. You program the parameters easily and there is also a manual mode that let's you select custom presets you set in the companion software. I love mine. Between it and the new Tikka RXP no other headlamp interests me anymore.

Carrot's recommendation is golden. I had the chance to see the Petzl at the CPF Campout. Beautiful piece.

On another note: I just used my new 4Sevens Atom and headlamp strap for 5 hours wiring in an attic and could not see anything being better for that job. It is a beautiful flood beam!
