New KL1 Head

I just received a new KL1 head, and it seems green to me. I am running it on a L4. I was wondering if there are any affordable mods to whiten this up? The key word here being affordable. I don't really want to sacrafice run time, or increase brightness a lot, as it has it's purpose.I would just like to get it white.

I have a greenish one and a purplish one. I am thinking about opening up the greenish one (an early one without scallops) and just replacing the LED with a high dome. About $18 it looks like, but there will still be the lottery element.

Bravo,
Contact CM or Chop (there might be others) and ask them to change the Luxeon. These guys have a good reputation and they won't wreck your light.

Opening a KL1 for an emitter swap is not too hard, especially if you have a vise and a strap wrench. Centering the emitter is the tricky part.
