I friend of mine recently showed me an LED flashlight he got overseas. It looks like the maglight solitare ( the 1 AAA light), except it uses one AAAA battery. Yes, that is 4-A's not three. Has anyone seen these? I hadn't even heard of AAAA batteries.

I haven't seen or heard of it, but I want one

Earl- are you familiar with the Streamlight Stylus? They are pen-style lights that use 2 or 3 (depends on led colour) AAAA cells- is it anything like that? I guess it uses an inverter circuit like the Infinity (and our current "obsession" from SatCure

) to boost the voltage, right?

The one I saw had a red LED in it. I'm not real sure, I didn't look at it closely, it may have used two cells. I should have looked closer. It was the son of a friend of mine. He was home on leave. I think from the Persian gulf. It had like a Duracell battery in it.
