Stopped at a new, just opened Target today, some new lights are River Rock 1 aa-cell that looks like the 2-aa cell model only cut down some in size, has on and flash mode, also the same fish-eye lens.I think its a 0.5 watt led, same green color,12.99. Also a small key chain light same style as above, button cell,5.99. Brinkmann has a 3-watt and a 1 watt led that runs on 3-aaa cells looks like the black incan model that target and wal-mart sells that takes 123 cells. Also a Brinkmann 3 watt ? headlight looks like the dorcy model. Energizer rechargable Hardcase ac/dc pistol grip ,nimh battery ,led 1 watt? not sure about that. A Dura-tool 28 led 3aaa metal. The nite-ize white mm led upgrade w old style switch. No new mag products just same old stuff, no new style Inova X1s. They had the Dorcy 1 watt that takes 123 cell. Most of the Inova and River Rock stuff that has been out for some time is back at this store. If I think of any thing more I will let you know. This store is in Milford Ct.

This store is in Milford Ct.

Can you elaborate. How is it both 3 and 1 watt?

Hot... This is the River Rock 1AA I was told about. I'm going to check it out.

Of course, the Target nearest my house (Meyerland; RIP Sharpstown Target) does not even have the new X1s in. My girlfriend's Target, 25 miles away, has them... Maybe I'll check there tonight.

They are two lights, one is a 3-watt model, the other is a 1-watt model. Both look some what the same from what I could see. Thay also had the Cyclops Atom headlight, small button cell model, I saw some empty pegs,so I dont think they had all of the lights out yet, I tried to take in as much as I could, but was on a rushed lunch break. I will try to get over there again if you have any questions let me know.

I was just at my target yesterday and they didn't have any of these :( I almost picked up another .5w RR headlamp and the lantern ;) but I saved my money cause I had just put in an order for a couple of lights from Elektrolumens :D But now I have to go back...

Everyone complained the Inova X1 was "useless" with it's spotlight optic. Now we've got another 1AA light with a tight spot optic? Sounds crazy to me.

Just so you guys know this store was just built and its grand opening is on the 10th of March, some of this stuff may take some time to hit the older stores, as they may stock the brand new stores first? I have not seen this stuff at my local Target.

Stopped at the same target today to eye ball the lights again, the river rock 1-aa cell is not a 0.5 watt but a 05mm per back of pkg, its about 2.5 in or so shorter than the 2-aa RR. The lens looks to be about the same as the 2-aaRR also. the Brinkmann 3-watt flashlight priced at 29.99, the Brinkmann 1-watt flashlight is 24.99, the Brinkmann 3-watt headlight is 29.99. Energizer Hard case spotlight is 39.99, Dorcy super 1-watt 123 cell flashlight is 19.99. Durabuilt 28 led is16.99. Also today saw a Durabuilt 1-watt flashlight ac/dc w case 34.99. I was going to buy the RR1-aa but its not being a 0.5 watt did not, for a 1-aa cell light its kind of big I think.

I stopped at two Targets this evening looking for the 1xAA light and neither of them had that or any of the other new lights. I was really hoping the 1xAA light would be like the 2xAA light, but with shorter runtime. I'd probably get one. Since it's just a 5mm LED, I probably won't. I'll probably stop in the super duper Target (bigger than the Super Targets - that usually has all the new neat stuff) on Sunday.

I searched for the new lights at two Targets today. Neither had the new lights but one had a few interesting sales that looked like possible closeouts. The .5W River Rock Head Light (blue case only) was only 7.48 and the LED Keychain Light just 2.98. They were so cheap I couldn't resist.

Again, only one of the two stores had these low prices marked with Red Was/Now tags.

I also stopped at two targets today, one has no sales going on, the other had quite a few lights at half off. Mag 4d copper and blue only, Dorcy 3d 1 watt led, green inova key chain, mag replacement bulbs pr base, mmag lens and clip kit, the blue RR 0.5 watt headlight also, plus some others I did not give too much attention, looked like they are cleaning out to make room for new stuff. Same as Martytoo, found they had the red tags on them also.

If anyone is in the Cincinnati area, the Target in Cherry Grove/Anderson is not having a sale either. I will definitely check out the other two if I am near them.

My local Target has the River Rock keychain lights on clearance but they are $4.18, still a pretty good buy but not as good as $2.98! Performance wise the one I got is on par with the new X1 except there are a few more artifacts in the hotspot. It's easily as bright, a little more floody even though the hotspot is just as bright and a little less blue too. Doesn't have the hefty construction but it still seems well made and the switch works well as long as you don't mind the twist out for constant on head, similar to a mini m@g. It's quite a bit brighter than the new model Inova Microlight. The RR keychain has O-ring seals too.
I'm not familiar with the cost of the 3xL1154 batteries. Are these prices getting into the "disposable" range? It's really too nice a light to do that to and with an advertised 12-hour runtime it shouldn't be a problem. The RR 2xAAA is advertised at 6-hour and I ran two of them for 8 hours and still got enough light to walk a wooded path with ease using two different alkaline battery brands.

The Target here in Savannah GA has had the worst selection of flashlights until just recently. They now have an entire row of flashlights. Many of the lights that have been talked about here in CPF are now in this Target for the first time.

1154 is equivalent to several other batteries including; A76, A13, 357, LR44, SR44, RW42

And button cells are quite cheap when bought in bulk on eBay.
You can get them for less than 20 cents each shipped.

New at Target in Allen, Tx:

Durabilt 28-LED, 3xAAA, ~$17.00
(looks like this Advancemart light
http://store.advancedmart.com/al28ulbrwhle.html
which has only about 65 min runtime)

Energizer LED Penlight, 2xAAA, ~$7.00
(looks like a std incand pen but with 5mm LED, and booster?)

Brinkmann "GO-LEDs", button-cell powered ,puck shaped, disposable,
$3.00/pair
(clumsy pull-tab on-off method, claims 170 hours runtime ???)

Also...finally...the new reflectored X1's, ~$20.00
