I just bought a new mp3 player.I was in bestbuy and say this TINY mp3 player. It's a Samsung yepp yp-t5h.It is barely bigger than the AAA battery that goes in it.It holds 128mb of music, voice recorder, and the neatest thing of all is that you can hook it up to anything like a cd player and it will encode it to mp3 direclty on the player. It also has a fm radio and you can record songs you like while you are listening to it.It records it into mp3 format right on the internal drive. It's AWESOME! The size is 23x54x23mm or 0.91inches x 2.13inches x 0.91 inches.Yes,it's that small!

I've seen that player at Best Buy. I would go as far to say it's the smallest stand alone player available. I considered buying the 256mb version but didn't until I've heard some reviews. Maybe I'll go buy one now. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/party.gif

I only listen to mine in the gym so 2 hours is plenty of music.I also bought the warranty because I am VERY abusive to my toys!

I keep kicking around on whether to get one of those flash memory mp3 players or not. Costco and Sams club both have a couple of good deals on them. I wish one would come with AM radio as that's what I listen to a lot when outside exercising (talk radio and baseball games).

I would take a guess that the reason you haven't seen a small mp3 player with am yet is because of reception. But that's only an uneducated guess. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon3.gif

Just got me one of the last 15GB iPods myself. Got a firewire card installed lastnight... blazing fast transfers. And the iTunes program automatically updates your iPod so that you dont have to individually put on every new song, so thats really handy.

Out of my price range. That would mean sacrificing flashlight $! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsdown.gif

Probably a good guess. I would assume you would need some sort of ferrite antenna to receive AM although I have seen small am/fm walkman type radios but none as small as the flash card mp3 players.
