I just ordered my first Peak flashlight the other day! So excited to get it. I am going to just run a regular AAA when I first get it, but need help choosing the best rechargeable lithium's so that I can make use of the 200+ lumens ability.

I got mine from Oveready

I got the Peak Eiger (AAA body)
- head: optic XPG2
- body: long key SS knurl

I wanted a rear switch, but everyone is sold out, so I will get one when they have again.

Also, is this the only or best pocket clip for it:

Your image is too large and has been replaced with a link. Please resize and repost.
See Rule #3 If you post an image in your post, please downsize the image to no larger than 800 x 800 pixels. - Thanks Norm

There are a few sites who sell these, but does anyone know what Peak's main site is?

I can't find the protected AW batteries anywhere.

What the heck are u guys using? I want rechargeable, but I really want to make use of the 200+ lumens with a lithium. Any ideas?

I use unprotected Panasonic NCR18650As in my Fenix PD32 and ZebraLight SC600 single cell lights with no problems and I use unprotected AW IMR 16340s in my ShingingBeam iMini and Sunwayman V10R with nary an issue.

If you keep them topped up and don't let them discharge all the way down to zero, you can run them safely in single cell lights like your Peak.

Oveready lists either Alkalines or Eneloops with the AAA Eiger.
Am I missing something?

em-mgt.com is also a Peak dealer and offers what you are looking for as does Amazon,Battery Junction and others.

I am new to all these dif kinds of batteries. I may be the wrong one. I don't want to run regular AAA cuz of the low lumens. Do I just go out and buy rechargeable AAA ones or do they need to be dif to get the 200+ lumens? Sorry

I am using lifep04 aaa's in my eiger right now. A bit safer than unprotected li ion IMHO. Also the lower voltage means less heat. The store that sells them also sells a compatible charger. Four cells and charger will run less than $20.

I just found these ones. Looks like they are the only AAA protected out there. I should have done more research before getting this light. I would have got the AA body if I knew ppl were not running Li-Ion batteries in them.

Again......
Call em-mgt.com and talk to Bob about it!
He will talk your ear off and tell you what your options are. From my experience he is all about the suggesting most juice you can use in these lights!
He also sells the batteries and chargers and is just very helpful.

I have 2 Logan 17500 size.
I have used normal primary AA and Eneloops in them but for sure when I stick a 3.7v 17500 or 14500 in them they scream!

The only reason I don't have an Eiger is that I want more run time than the AAA form provides.

I have been following your plight over on EDC and I too love my Fenix E15 and will replace it for sure if I should lose it but I think the Peak will more than help you forget about it,they are very nice and simple.

Thanks, I am thinking that I will next get a Peak Logan or El Caption.
