No idea why strobe is on a light in the hunting category.

They really need to stop putting it on all of the lights.

I absolutely hate strobe. But, strobe on a lep might just be the only light capable of being used as a distraction to get out of trouble or give you a few seconds to get the upper hand.

So how is it?

It has strobe because they didn't want to make a new driver for this light.
I imagine the body is the same as other models with the dual switch functionality.

If a light can reach out far enough, strobe can be good for signaling. But that's about it.

So how is it?

It's as expected for the most part. The HT30R (9.6 oz) quite a bit larger than the TK30 (7.6 oz).

The beams are very similar, I'd say the HT30R is about 15% tighter.

I can't explain why the HT30R is larger. If it's turned on when you rotate the head to expose the charging port the light turns off. The holster for the HT30R is odd, to the point that I threw it into a 'stuff I only look at every several years' drawer.

BTW, all that dust in the TK30, Fenix Store is swapping out the light due to the defect.
