I have just received my new SureFire E2DL. It is as awesome as I anticipated.
I don't have a light meter, just other lights with stated higher lumen ratings and the E2DL way outshines them and out throws them. I think the narrow diameter of the beam concentrates the light down range and it truly throws far.
Since my wife took possession of my 6PD with LED drop in, I needed something. She didn't get mad.

I spoke with them on the phone and will definitely be ordering more from them.
I have lots of other lights that are for fun or staged through out the cars trucks and house. But when it comes to personal defense, Just like my Guns, I will only carry the best and don't mind paying for it, especially from a authorized dealer.
