Got this a couple of days ago. A single AA driving 3 LEDs. Comes with a removable swivel clamp, magnetic clip and headstrap.

What a tease.

Where did you get it?
What is it called?
How much did it cost?
What does the beam look like?

The US$18.00 Flashlight brand is, are you ready?? "Light on Power LED". and claims 36 hours on a single AA battery. The 1AA 3Leds flashlight has a bigger hotspot but a narrower corona when compared with the Ultra G due to it's Leds being recessed about 1mm inside the reflector. Don't know why it was designed this way as I see no purpose in having the reflector. The 3 Leds are also protected by another layer of clear plastic lens. DC/DC converter is built into the battery compartment. Non focusible head is removable. Has a momentary on switch on the tail cap.

Should make a great camping/hiking light with the runtime of 36 hours!

That looks like the baby brother of the Smith and Wesson 2AA that I saw at Academy Sports Friday. They had a 3-red LED, 2 AA with a tailcap switch in a Mini-Mag style format. Looked interesting, but I did not want to drop $20 on it without a bit of research. The LEDs apeared to be completely recessed (ala inova X5) into an aluminum plug (but it could have been plated plastic, no way to tell without tearing one open).

(Where did you find it???)

Indeed reminiscent of the new Dorcy - but the Dorcy is not yet commonly available.

The rubber ribbing on the head and the entire tailcap assembly is just like the new Dorcy, except the LED reflector looks a bit different, there is no rubber insert on the barrel, and the two shown accessories don't come with the Dorcy.

I have a review of the 3-LED 1-AA Dorcy right here if you're interested.

Any idea when/where the new Dorcy lights will become available to the general public?

The only info I have is what's on the lights' pages on my website. I have a couple of links on each page that lead to Dorcy's website, but I don't know where you can go to actually buy one of these, or when the local stores will get them. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I got it from Singapore. After looking at the 3-LED 1-AA Dorcy review from The LED Museum , I'd say it's the same flashlight by the same manufacturer which makes the Dorcy.
