HERE

are the blinking leds Luxeons?? cause it says the runtime is significantly reduced when the led's are on steady! it must be super bright looking at it from behind. it looks really funky.

i'd be willing to bet my super-thumb that they aren't.

it just wouldn't make sense in this application. also, notice the lack of apparent heatsinking...

yeah they might not be luxeons but if you checked the runtime
with led's blinking 6 hrs
with led's constand 3 hrs?!?!

how can it knock down that much in runtime with a huge lead acid battery in there from leds? I'm just guessing it might be cause don't forget smoke is VERY heavy in a fire and even seeing the main beam of light is hard, so if you have normal small nichia's led's it would be pretty much useless in the heat of a burning structure.

I think there is a type somewhere. If you look here, it says:

Runtimes of the new Fire Vulcan:
* “Steady” mode (LED & halogen bulb): 3 hrs.
* “Blinking” mode (LED & halogen bulb): 6 hrs.
* “Blinking” mode (LEDs only): 60 hrs.

But when you look here, it says:

Run Time
Steady Mode: 3 hrs.
Blinking Mode: 6 hrs.
Blinking (LEDs only): 60 hrs.
