Hello, nice to meet you CPFers,

I been reading alot about Malkoff and decided to buy one when it become avaiblable again. But need to know a few things.

I have a Ultrafire flashlight (6P defender clone) that accept 2 CR123, 2 RCR123, 1 18650, and 17670... I was wondering what if I get the Malkoff M60 and use the 18650 battery (3.7v), what will happen? I believe it stated "drop out of regulation" under 3.8v. Will I still get the 235+ lumens on the 18650 and slowly drop in brightness until the battery dies? And what is the runtime?

Thank you for you advices.

you wont be getting 200+ lumens. Regulation would basically mean that the circuit inside is "regulating" the current. If your input voltage is less then the stated minimum, it wont be enough for the circuit to boost the current, resulting in direct drive, meaning, the emitter takes whatever the batteries can deliever, which is less then ideal.

also, have you read the welcome mat? great place to start..:)
