New to LED

Good evening everyone. i am relatively new to the LED world. i have recently purchased an led drop in for my surefire. the surefire is an M2 centurion and the bulb is a P60 style XP-G R5. i turned a piece of aluminum and made a 3 battery extension so i could get the most out of the light. but after doing a little more research i found there are brighter P60 style drop ins out there. im looking at the XML T6. ill be straight with ya, i dont know squat about lights. is this setup gonna be too much voltage for the XML??

You'll just need to make sure your XM-L P60 drop in has an input voltage compatible with what your cells are putting out. If it's 2xCR123a that would be 6 volts.

Not to be confused that most RCR's (2) can put out as much as 8.4.
