Interesting pics.

Looks like a three headed XT20 with the cells in a pack to compact the layout.

The beam convergence in the pics at least seems to imply similar throw/flood balance, but with a third beam to shore it up further.

I guess they wanted to avoid another niteye layout with a multiheaded gatling gun look.

Wow... usually Fenix to me is one of the more innovative designers of new lights... This thing however is amazing. Sure it does look a lot like a staple gun, but I could see it being really nice for walking around/searching outdoors.

Custom battery pack though huh? Hmm... Maybe 6 18650's? If so that thing is going to crank out some serious photons.

There's a picture where it's mounted to a tripod. I think it would work well with a Gorillapod. I would like to see it have the same feature as the Skilhunt Owl, where you can choose to have only 1 or 2 of the LEDS in operation, with some kind of customization.

Good idea for those in need of high lumens but no need in a tacticool light. Some would ask for a thrower head in a similar body for search tasks, I guess.

edit: on second look, it seems to keep the battery door on. Suppose one of the tripod covers will do.
