Newbie first post with questions!

Cool forum. I was looking for a bright light for blood tracking deer. I have two strikes against me, I am colorblind and night blind. I was looking for a light that would light up a somewhat large area without a bright spot in the middle. What the heck am I looking for in a light? I did get a cheap light off amazon. Ultrafire c8 (probably a knock off of something) What about good 18650 batteries? What brand. Where do I get an led conversion kit for a maglight 3 d cell, that is idiotproof to put in?

You want a flood style light. Zebralight sc600w would be a awesome light for you.
AW is the standard in high end batteries.
Malakoff makes sweet maglight dropins.

Malkoff Devices makes great drop-ins for Maglights.

18650s - AW is the best, but a few other makes that use the preferred Panasonic base-cells are: Eagletac, Redilast, XTAR. Pila makes the best charger out there as well. (Pila IBC)
