I plan to take the plunge into rechargeable options for my E2D. I did search and found some answers to some of my questions, but nothing for the others.

I plan to run a IMR-E2 with two IMR16340. My question is:

If I completely charge the cells and put them in to my flashlight. How long could it sit in the flashlight and still be usable. With that much lumens I would be using the light sparingly. I don't want to have to always charge the cells right before I need to use it. I want to be able to charge the cells, put it aside, and grab the light when I need it and still have maximum output.

Would it be the same with AW RCR16340's?

Self-discharge for protected Li-ion cells is about 10 percent each month. I think with unprotected Li-ion cells it should be around half that. Someone else please correct me.

Just remind yourself to top of the charge when you find you haven't used the light it in a couple months.

Thanks. 10% a month doesn't seem that bad. I guess I'll be picking up some rechargeables very soon.
