I agree, this is very good news. Who knows, in the next few years a real laser television projector may become a reality.
Is this diode a commercial product now or are they still in the (expensive) "engineering sample" stage? And there is no wavelength specified, I hope/wonder if they are a "truer" green than 532.

read somewhere that they're probably closer to 515nm.

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Nichia surpassed many others trying to create semiconductor green. Ammono group is making huge GaN crystals a few inches large, and I believe Nichia is/was acquiring /already acquired them.
