well here is a question....

what if you use 2 different chargers for 8xAA NiMhs for a single application? (a HAM radio). To complicate matters worse what oif one charger has 2&4 batt banks and not 4 indipendent?

Taken to hotwires what are the implications?

Thanks, Kostas

Hello Kostas,

The only problem will be if the cells are all not charged to the same state of charge. This can result in an imbalanced condition.

If your cells are out of balance, one cell will empty first and runs the risk of becoming reversed charged. If you limit your discharge and try not to completely run the pack down, you shouldn't have any problems.
