Nitecore D10 Question

I have had my Nitecore D10 for several months now and I'll have to say that it has ended up being my favorite flashlight. I find myself carrying it over the Ti PD-S. I can't wait for the clip to arrive and I can't wait to get a new piston sleeve and install a trit.

The question I have on my light is that I noticed part of the o-ring that seals the lense in the head is pushed down the side between the head and lense. I don't know if that makes sense or not, but that is the best I can do to explain it. Will that put the light at risk for dust, dirt, or water to enter or will it still maintain a nice seal?

Hard to say for sure - I think I understand whay you are saying. I'd say at the least it is somewhat compromised and it would be best to fix it. If you can't fix it yourself I'd send it in? I guess the D10's aren't as easy to get apart as the EX10's.

Thanks for your response. I would think that it is somewhat compromised also. It is almost as if the circumference of the lense is cut too small so that if it is slightly off center it allows the seal ring to slip down in between.

I actually email the customer service months ago and never heard back from them.

I think I emailed from the website of Nitecore. Seems like it was translated into Japanese or something. I'm sure the place I bought it from would have returned it, but I guess I was and am more curious if it is even an issue. If I knew what I was doing, I could probably replace the oring. I may have to just try doing it and send it in if I screw it up. Sounds like this isn't a common happening with the light which is good.

If you got the light from Nitecore, 4sevens is the official warranty facility here in the states. So if it's messed up, send it in to him (if you can't get it fixed yourself) and they will definitely make it right or send you a new one. Top notch customer service. FWIW, my D10 seems to be fine in the o-ring area. I love this light too!

BTW his website is www.4sevens.com

Thanks for the help! I don't check in here enough to know who is who or who does what. I think the light came with an extra oring so I'll give it a shot and if it doesn't work, I'll contact 4sevens. I appreciate it!

Yeah, that is more than I'm willing or able to do. I was thinking that I could replace it from the outside without disassembling the head. Bummer!
