Nitecore D20 upgrades

I've got a Nitecore D20 that I want to breathe some new life into. I am considering an emitter upgrade to the XP-G2. Can someone tell me if this is possible, practical, and how difficult it may be? I've taken my fair share of electronics apart and am not afraid of a soldering iron. I would also consider having someone do this for me if it is reasonable. If this doesn't sound like a good idea what suggestions do you have for me?

A little off-topic but does anyone know what size the screws are that hold the clip on this light? Having a heck of a time getting it back on.

Be careful changing the LED in the d20. The change in forward voltage can cause the driver to fail. It happened to me on my first one.

What did you end up putting in your D20? How did it turn out? Can you give me any further insight to what I'm considering? I appreciate any and all info and help.
