I suppose I would be P.O.ed to if my store's namesake supplier cut me off. I can understand that. But to say that a manufacturer 'sheme's' to have only one distributor doesn't make much sense [to me]. If anything, only having one distributer in north america was probably a contractual compromise nitecore had to make in regards to the Smart PD system, not a "scheme".

Wade F says: If you want to support Canadian dealers, then buy the lights they offer.

Wade. You are a sounding like the stereotypical arrogant American.

Well, if you want a Nitecore D10 (I own one, it's great), you're probably going to have to buy it from 4sevens.com. He worked with Nitecore to design it and since he helped design it he made a deal to be the exclusive North American dealer for it. If you only want to purchase from a Canadian dealer than I don't know what to tell you.

...Perhaps 4Sevens would like to comment?
Hi everyone,

I hate posting in threads like this but for the record I have to tell at least a
little of my side of the stoy.

Simply put, we recently terminated the dealer agreement with Alex / Fenix Canada /
Fenixtactical.com based on legal counsel. The dealer contract
that Alex signed fully entitles us to terminate the agreement at any time
for any reason despite his allegations of us acting "illegally."

The fact of the matter is, he has repeatedly made legal threats towards us,
towards Fenix (manufacturer) as well as towards NiteCore (manufactuer).
As well as an assortment of just plain nasty threats - like "be careful I survive in
Russia with no laws" - whatever that means. He's also spun manipulative lies
that I find out after the fact - he's been feeding untruths to the manufacturers
to disparage my relationship with them.

The recent threats are nothing new - this has been on going for quite a while now.
After I forwarded all our correspondence to my legal advisors, they simply encouraged
us to terminate our agreement as soon as possible. He is more of a liability than an asset.

I would advise folks to save that page - I have - and each revision of it just
for the record. It's just plain wrong and borderline libelous.

For those in Canada who need NiteCores shipped from within Canada,
we have a handful of dealers who are very pleasant to deal with and
will support you in the same manner that 4Sevens.com does.

Eric at http://photongears.com/ is one of them and is highly recommended
by us! He is picking up the rest of the NiteCore line.

Well, this is interesting. I'm wondering why that if "Canada" is such a small market and China didn't want to be bothered with it, then why does "4sevens" need "exclusive" dealer status. Shoot, Canadian dealers for example on guitar brands like Gibson, only have to have different city status to have exclusive dealership in a city...not even in the same country overall. I just don't get it.

Thanks for clearing this up 4Sevens. I've checked out Photongears.com but they don't seem to offer the Smart PD.

GregU2, it seems you have made Beamhead's "ignore" list; any further posts of that sort and you will make the banned list too.

I would remind members that discussions about dealers belong in the MarketPlace, and disputes between dealers do not belong anywhere on CPF.
