Hello,
I am unable to charge the batteries of my Nitecore TM39 Lite flashlight (NL1836HP) when they are installed in the flashlight and using the 12V, 1000mA power supply connected directly to the flashlight input.
I get an “error” message from the flashlight. I have tried three different power supplies (with the same technical specifications) and the message is always the same.
I read somewhere on the Internet that the only way to recharge the batteries is to use an external charger, such as my LiitoKala Lii-S8. Is this true?
Why is it not possible to recharge the batteries without removing them from the flashlight?
I wrote to Nitecore, but they did not reply.

Thank you.

What does the manual say?
It simply says: ‘When the charging process is abnormal, the display will show the text “ERROR”

And do the batteries charge correctly in an external charger?
Yes
There could be a fault with one of the cells, and that is the reason why they won't charge in the light.
No, since all batteries charge correctly with the external charger (Liitokala).

Thanks.
