I just got my EYE10 about an hour ago. I haven't tried it out in the dark yet but wanted to post some pics since so many people are talking about the single CR123 sized flashlights right now.

The adjuster ring has knurling on half and it is smooth on the other half of the ring, I would have preferred it to have knurling on the whole ring.

I had a real hard time getting the pocket clip on, the screws are really small and I had a hard time lining them both up so be careful when screwing the clip on. Try to screw them each in a little bit rather than screwing one in and then the other.

I know these will be hard to make out but this is with the LED off and the bottom one is with the LED on the lowest settings....

The finish is a dark gray and the stainless steel bezel is a nice feature. It is pretty easy to turn on/off with one hand but if it had knurling around the entire adjuster ring, it would be a lot easier. I am right-handed but I can operate the light with either just my right or left hand. I am also running an AW IMR 18350 in mine. I have to turn it 3 clicks before I can see the LED turn on and I counted 8 additional turns after I saw the LED turn on. So I have 9 different brightness levels all together. Once you have it on high, if you dim it, turn to high, to dim, and back to high it will activate the strobe. If you do this process three times instead of two, it will turn the SOS on. Both the Strobe and SOS can be dimmed once they are activated, pretty nice feature. Also, I know this just like the RRT01 but I think the cooling fins are nice on this light, it has an OP reflector, and I like how it has both SOS and Strobe and how both can be dimmed.

Nice light shramj, I have been looking at this light myself. How do you like the beam pattern and tint? Any beam shots?

I haven't taken any beam shots but I will try to do that this weekend. The color tint is nice; I would say cool white but I also don't have the best vision when determining color temperatures so don’t quote me on the tint. The OP reflector is nice, it breaks up the beam artifacts nicely. The half-grip control ring works but I wish they would have put knurling around the entire ring. I also noticed my light is a little greasy when I got it so maybe if I clean it up it will be even easier to control the ring. I was playing with the light last night and when it is on the 1st setting, it is really dim, can't even see it, you can only notice the LED is lit. The 2nd setting is really dim but is noticeable, it’s really low/dim. I know having really dim dims is a hot thing with LED lights right now and if that is what you are looking for, this light has some real good dim settings.

Awesome, this is the thread I've been looking for! A couple of questions if ya don't mind...

1. Is there any chance you have a lux meter? If so, what kind of lux @ 1m are you seeing running the 18350?
2. Do you have a multi-meter capable of current reading? If so, what kind of current are you seeing on the highest and lowest modes?
3. "I know this just like the RRT01" So the RRT-01 will also take a 18350?

Thanks!

Colonel, I don't have any of that equipment to test it, I am just a rookie with these flashlights. However, read subwoofer's review here: http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?336834-Niteye-EYE10-Review Subwoofer said he got 662 lumens out of it running off an AW 16350 but I don't think mine is that bright but I could be wrong. I am running mine off an AW 18350 right now and I also tried a CR123 and an AW RCR123 in it. I couldn't tell much of a difference in brightness but I was doing this indoors with lights on, so as you can tell, my tests are poor at best, lol. Maybe tonight I can mess around with it outside and I let you know how it is. Also, I got this for under 80 so I am really happy with the light I got for the money. I am not sure if the RRT01 will take a 18350 or not, maybe someone that has one of those handy can let us know. I would assume it would since the lights are pretty much the same thing.

So, I posted this over in the Dealer Corner, but for your convenience:

Before any of you begin to lecture me, I KNOW that use of RCRs is not recommended in this light! Okay, that out of the way, with a freshly charged IMR 18350, this thing is crazy...until it begins to heat up. These readings were brief - I didn't leave the light on at these levels but for a few seconds lest I burn the darn thing up.

Here you go - twisted to full - 681 lumen.
1 click back - 504
another click - 321
another - 142
1 more - 30
I didn't measure the lower levels. On mine, the last 2 clicks have no light showing at all - 3rd from the last click it is on, but lower than a trit.

I checked this twice - let the light cool down (it heats up quickly) and ran the VERY UNSCIENTIFIC tests again, and it repeated the performance. With an AW RCR high dropped to 630 lumen - I didn't try the lower levels.

I see why they don't recommend using IMR or RCR in this little beast - it is BRIGHT and heats up rapidly, with very little surface area to dissipate the heat. Still, it's impressive to see what it will do! Amazing.
