I Have bought 8 of these with 2 slow chargers.

They do offer a higher voltage but at the cost of capacity, THESE are rated in MILIWATT Hours, NOT MILIAMPERE hour.

Doing the math> 2500MW divided by 1.6 Volts = 1562.5 Milliamp hours , where as a 2500 mah AA @ 1.2 volts would be approximate 3000 MILLIWATT hours.

SO half the runtime at a higher voltage, in energy density about the same as a 2000-2100 mah low self discharge nimh?

Hi TURBO. Your summation is pretty accurate. If you do a "Google CPF only" search, available near the top of this page, you will find threads pertaining to the NiZn cells. The general consensus is, that they are not quite there yet, as far as quality and consistency, from cell to cell. Also, as far as I know PowerGenix anyway, has discontinued production due to problems with manufacturing NiZn cells. This is why they are popping up at various discount outlets, as of late.

EDIT: Almost forgot, welcome to CPF!
