I have 3 maglites: two 2-D cells and one 3-C cell. Old enough that the bulbs are on the way out. I'd still like to make use of them- I like the weight and feel of the 3-C cell the best. I've read some about mag mods and have gone on to the Malkoff website. Still, and I'm sorry to go about it this way, but I'm seeking some practical advice here about the simplest way to convert these lights to LED. I got the impression from the Malkoff site that a couple of the drop-ins they offer require cutting a small portion of the tube. Is there such a thing as a quick and easy mod that doesn't require saws or soldering but simply putting in a drop in? I can just hear the collective groans of readers that I haven't put enough of my own effort into this. Any useful advice or links would be appreciated and I apologize again for bringing it up again in the forum but it is enjoyable, for me at least, to receive some of this information first hand. Thanks!
