Noob with a problem and a question...

Okay so i was the very proud and happy owner of a Surefire L1 cree for almost 2 years!!!:twothumbs

Unfortunately.... i lost it yesterday and i dont believe its coming back!:thumbsdow:sigh::mad: (yes i cried myself to sleep last night:mecry:)
I never realized how much i loved that thing until i was looking for it in a dark car... and i needed a light to search for the light.... very sad moment.:mecry:

my query is: should i get another L1 or an E2DL? Kinda vague i know... mainly everyday carry, love the UI and feel of the l1, but a slightly lower low and higher high would be nice. Is the E2DL a bit more of a pain to carry? Does it throw as far? (not sure if it has TIR like the L1)
Also, does anyone know if the LX1 will be buyable soon, cause that might be the perfect replacement... if i could get one. Sorry if thats already been discussed a good bit-not sure.

The E2DL has the TIR optic. Beng EDC-able is a very subjective topic/ term. To me a 2xCR123 sized light is EDC, whereas to some others AAA is EDC. Myself I'd go for the E2DL over the L1 if I had to choose between just those two. ymmv.

No clue about the LX1. Surefire is one of the worst out there when it comes to releasing lights in any timely manner. So I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for it to come out... even if Surefire said "it's coming out in two weeks."
