Noob with LED's

Hey friends how are you? I need some advice...

I want to buy some leds for mi bike and play a little but i can find the right one! I was researching DE and woow, XRE-P4, P4, 7090, Q2, XML H, XML T60... :eek::eek::eek:

No information on the lumens per watt or something, trying doing a research on the web but still can find exactly which is the best, i guess they depend what you want them for, so i want to ask you fellas to help me.

For a "taillight" which one?
For a single headlight (like a flashlight), which one?
For a twin headlight (2 flashlights), which one?

I couldnt also found the color description, are they rate cool white? warm white? white by itself, blue?

Okay, Cree has 5 main LED products (excluding those designed for backlighting purposes), the XPC(outdated), XP-E, the XR-E, the XP-G and the XML, the MC-E is just a derivative. These LEDs are sorted into efficiency "bins" from P4-U2, with the XML U2 bin being the most efficient, at 160+ lumens per watt, capable of 1000 lumens. There are other LED manufacturers as well, like Luminus Devices, Seoul, Luxeon, Nichia but the main ones are Luminus Devices and Cree. As for the bike light question, there are some okish XML based headlights from dealextreme but have usually bad design/driver etc...

The best bet is to get a flashlight mount and mount a good quality flashlight to it, a good small and floody one that comes to mind would be the Zebralight SC600 at around 100 dollars.

As for your last question, most LEDs are cool white 6000K+ and above, although neutral white 4500k+ and warm white 3000K+ LEDs are available as well. The warmer LEDs require most phosphor coating on the LED substrate so it will have less lumen/watt output.
