I'm waiting for mine to arrive next week...
I was very curious what the max lux was going to be.
If you have time an outdoor beamshot would be greatly appreciated.

As you say, kudos to Luxlover, he very kindly welcomed me to the CPF and answered my questions about HDS.

Nice thorough review. I think that a future 18650 LiIon body would be welcome, for added length and runtime. Problem is people will, without thinking, or intentionally install two CR123's or two RCR123's, defeat the circuit then complain about a faulty light. Making it a 17500, or 18500 body would obviously reduce that risk, but the market for the NovaTac, except for CPF'ers, would not appreciate the value of the larger LiIon's. The 2XAA body would be the best recourse for added length, but maybe too long. Just thinking out loud, and knowing how some CPF'er think and act, some responsibly, and others not.

How about a 2c body that would give you incredible runtime on the lowest setting.
