NovaTac programming retention with battery out?

First off, I apologize if this has been covered. I did several searches and came up empty. Is the memory in the NovaTac line volatile or non? IOW, if I have the cell out for hours or days, will my programming still be there?

I believe that as long as the light is turned off when unscrewing the battery tube all settings will be retained.
