I've read most of the threads in this forum to try to bring myself up to speed but as you can imagine I still have some questions.

I currently dive in cold, limited viz waters and it's mainly wall diving looking at marine life. I have a Light Cannon and that works fairly well. I'd like to figure out if it's possible to make something LED based with similar output in a smaller package and still keep it hand held rather than cannister based.

I'm assuming the power source would be 18650's but I don't know what LED's would be appropriate. I think the LC produces approximately 450 lumens. I don't know what the spot angle is but let's consider 10 degree's for this project/exercise. I don't think there are any single LED's in that range so what would be the best way to go about this? Are we talking lenses rather than reflectors?

I'd like to know if it's feasible to get output similar to a LC in a much smaller package that could be used with a Goodman handle/soft handle. In effect having the hands free benefit of a cannister light without the bother of the cannister.

I think Barbolight produced something similar to what I'm talking about so it must be possible.

Any info/help on what the spec sheet would look like for this project along with any other info/opinions etc. would be appreciated.
