OK guys, I really appreciate the advice on what to do with my e1e and btw I went with the Lumens Factory EO-E1R with 1XRCR123 and it works nicely.

So when I ordered my RCR123's I decided to put them in my E2D too and well it blew my bulb so I had ordered 2 of the EO-E1R's and I put that bulb in and blew it too.:(

So now my question is, what to do with my E2D? Do I go LED or stay incan?

I need some advice on what bulbs to use with which batteries.

Please help me, I am so unenlightened.

TIA for any and all info, I really appreciate it.

The EO1R blew in the E2D because its designed for 1 cell. You'd need the EO2R or whatever the 2-cell equivalent is to run 2 cells.

The stock E2D is meant for 2 CR123s, which have a lower voltage(3v) then RCR123s(3.7v, 4.2v fully charged). The EO-E1R is meant for 1 RCR123(3.7v) not 2 RCR123s in series (7.4v, 8.4v fully charged). That's why the bulbs blew. User error. The Spec sheet usually tells you what batteries top use with the light, and from that you should be able to figure out which voltage to use.

Since you are debating LED or incan, this thread might be better in the General section. If you want incan and still use 2 RCR123 batteries, look for bulbs that can take 7.2v. If you want LEDs, either get a LED head from Surefire or the Buy/Sell/Trade section, or get a E to C adapter, a C head, and then a P60 LED module.
