Hey All!

Just recently got this NUKO Self Defence keychain fob and thought I'd do a brief review.

Small and compact it sits quietly among my collection of daily keys. Not overly sharp that it would cut or rip a hole in my pockets it carries comfortably. It's handmade from Micarta, making it light but very strong. It serves nicely as a way of carrying my keys as a matter of fact. The comfortable hole is perfect for my index finger to carry my keys and have it at stand by for action.

Speaking of action it can be used with the index finger or my favorite, the middle finger. Either way the overall design does well for good hard impact on targets. This little keychain fob is not overly aggressive in appearance and does not draw much attention. But it will leave a lasting impression if put to service.

If your looking for a subtle yet effective impact keychain fob this could do it for you. They're selling at The Lanyard Zone with free shipping in Canada and U.S. I'll definitley get one for the wife and sister.

Cheers,

Norman

Hate to say it but DYI....

That is a piece of Micarta available for a few bucks..
and the work takes about ten minutes to do...

I`ve done a few like these in CF....

Neat !

And if an "inspector" looks at it, and sez: "What's this ?",

simply tell 'em:

"An ice scraper for my windshield".

(might not be convincing in tropical climates, however)

What do you thing would cause more trouble... the pocketmate or NUKO? The NUKO looks more arty than a weapon.

nice! RaidOps makes a kinda similar one, the "Pocket Mate"

Fergit the Pocket Mate!! Didcha see the BUSTER?

This thing looks like you can knock out a Mack Truck. Unfortunately I don't deep enuff pockets to try sneaking that one past Canadian Customs. But shur makes for a purdy key ring, eh?

Another problem is that pretty much every LEO has seen the instructional video, "Surviving Edged Weapons."

One of the items shown in the vid is a plastic ice-scraper similar in appearence to the Pocket Mate.

No LEO is going to believe that it's just an ice-scraper.

The keys on the keyring would do the same thing and won't break the finger.

Re: "The Buster": They're called brass knuckles and they're usually illegal to carry.
