Well I finnaly got around to making a torch like they have in the old movies when they are about to lynch someone I am doing a runtime test right now:grin2: , materials - an old broken shovel handle some old curtain material and some kersosene and some used motor oil

meh. Output is great, but no throw, and at what cost? I think you're overdriving that curtain material WAY beyond spec. What kind of emitter life do you think you can expect with that set-up? :p

Why is it offensive ? If its because of the lynching thing thats about the only time I hav ever seen them in movies exept mabey Rambo .

In the original Frankenstein movie there's a terrific scene where all the men from town are carrying torches, searching for the monster. I think it's the greatest torch scene ever.

It would be regulated, but emitting a lot of heat. On the upside, it would light things on fire better than The Torch or the USL! It's also a lot easier to find power for it in the woods than for normal flashlights!
