Just received my M31 in the mail today, fresh from the marketplace. I'm snowblind just from bouncing it off the walls inside. Just love it. All the features I wanted, HA black finish, just awesome all around. Been a crazy night, I already had to chase my 2-year old son down and take it away from him before he put it through a window. Soon as I get squared away, I'll get some pics with the rest of the stable.

I can't help but notice that the bezel has roughly the same dimensions as a Surefire Millenium Turbohead. Would the Millenium 2.5" bezel filters and guards work on the M31? Anybody tried em?

Also, is there a smooth tailcap for this light? Before I break down and Dremel them off. The tailcap crenellations are killing my thumb.

Re: Olight M31

Being the meddling gearhead that I am, I could only take the crennelations for so long on a barely two-days old light before taking tools to it....

Using a really big old Milwaukee drill as a lathe, chuck dowel in lathe, some e-tape for spacing, stick barrel of light on dowel and secure with tape, buzz down the teeth with the dremel, then fire up the drill and smooth it with files and 600grit sandpaper.

Better shots of the whole thing with shop-smoothed tailcap...
